True Blue Football

ok. so in the past 2 weeks i've gone to TWO football games, plus True Blue football. We lost to FSU but decisively beat CSU!!!! YES!!! Anyways, i figured i should probably put some pictures up, first are the ones from the football game. Here's the weird part. Bryndee (the one with long blonde hair), and Derek (the kid with the hat) , who are cousins are also the kids of my Dad's best friends growing up. And we didn't even know it until my family started creeping on my football pictures on facebook lol. :)

It was a wonderful use of a Wednesday evening, altho by the end of the night we were all freezing cold!!!

Temple Square

So my friend and I went down to Temple Square because I had to do an assignment for my astronomy class involving the Salt Lake Temple. Basically it was just look at all the sun, moon, and star stones, and the Big Dipper. It was a lot of fun, and basically I just took a buttload of pictures. Unfortunately my camera died before I could take pictures of the Conference Center which is a bummer cuz it's super pretty and we went there. So instead of posting all of my pics on here, since I took like a LOT, I'm just going to link this to my facebook album, or try to and then you can look at them on there cuz I like them all to much to pick favorites :) Sorry if there are repeats, I took a bunch of pictures from the Observation Deck before I realized there were holes in the plexiglass to take better pictures from and I was too lazy to try and delete the doubles hahaha. But I will give you 2 teaser pics... and here's the link to my album. I believe you can look at it even if you don't have facebook.

SPOON ME!!

Basically, Spoon Me is the coolest place ever. It's a frozen yogurt shop in Provo and it's very DELICIOUS!!!! Plus, fairly nutritious, especially if you get the right toppings. It's really cute and fun, and everyone should try it at some time in their lives. They're kinda like Coldstone, except with frozen yogurt, and they don't mix it in, they just put it on the side of your yogurt, except there's no cross contamination all you GFers, unless the server just fails at life.. lol My friends and i went yesterday, and i will DEFINITELY be going back soon :) They do all sorts of cool promotions, including having a month of names, and if your name is on there, with proof of ID you can get a FREE spoon me creation. Their smoothies are also to die for. Oh, yah, and did i mention? Their spoons are EDIBLE!!!!!!!!! Not super tasty, but edible nonetheless lol Here's the website http://spoonme.com/

New Purse/ COLLEGE!!!!!!!!

So i finished the purse and i did a very fine job if i do say so myself, Ashley lol ummm and COLLEGE STARTED!!!!

i love my apartment, and my roommates. My roommate in my room is SUPER awesome and we pretty much clicked right away. I've met a TON of ppl, and too many from texas lol :) Texas ppl are WAY too proud of being from Texas hahahahahaha. Anyways, there's a guy in my ward on the ballroom dance team, and he totally made me feel better about trying out on Thursday, and he even volunteered to practice with me which was awesome. So it's gonna happen lol Anways, I had my first two classes today, Philosophy Honors Reasoning and Writing, and Comparative Gov. and Politics. I like both of my professors a LOT, and the comparative gov class was super interesting even tho we didn't learn anything really lol. Anyways Padres, it sounds like a really fun major, especially if i take some business classes as well, or international relations. SO... see i am thinking about a major.

Also, DAD, this next bit is for you, so everyone else can just kinda skip it, about things we talked about before i came here, so it might not make sense to anyone else. Remember when you telling me about restorative biology? Well when I was reading Jesus the Christ I came across this passage that talked about how the earth would be renewed to its paradisaical glory and it said this, "then soil, water, air, and the forces acting upon them, shall directly respond to the command of glorified man, as now they obey the word of the Creator" (Talmage, p. 288) So take that as it is :) As well, in my Gov. class here's what the Lord has to say about politics, "Teach ye dilligently and my grace shall attend you. that you may be instructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all thigns that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand; Of things both in heaven and in the earth and under the earth; things which are, things which must shortly come to pass; things which are at home, things which are abroad; the wars and the perplexities of the nations, and the judgements, which are on the land; and a knowledge also of countries and of kingdoms- That ye may be prepared in all things when I shall send you again to magnify the calling whereunto I have called you, and the mission with which I have commissioned you" (Doctrine and Covenatns 88: 78-80)

and now what you've all been waiting for... PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy police adventure!!!

i want to start out this story with the almost end of the story. I SAT IN THE BACK OF A POLICE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, so now that you're sufficiently freaked out and wondering what could my innocent little niece/daughter/sister(insert relation to me here) could possibly have done to end up in the back of a police car, don't worry. I did nothing wrong.

It all started at fhe when the activity planned went bust and about 7 of us decided to go to an outdoor movie theatre up in Ft. Collins to see G.I. Joe and Transformers. Two girls took their own car and the other 5 of us drove up in 2 other cars. The two guys had borrowed their roommates car because it had two 15 inch subwoofers in his car... or something amazing spiffy like amazing subs. anyways we stopped by Grandmas to get chairs and blankets and whatnot to sit on, and we left my friend Kristens car there and all drove up in the subwoofer car. So the movies were really good, but during the second one, the stereo gave out, cuz it was draining the battery. The movie got over at 1:30 and we started driving back to Longmont.

So while we're driving down 287 we get pulled over by a cop because the left brake light was out and so was the lisence plate light. Thankfully we didn't get a ticket since it wasn't their car, but the battery was making bad noises. So we get to about eisenhower and stop for a red light and the car COMPLETELY dies. We tried flagging ppl down to jump the car but no one had jumper cables, and when we borrowed some from walgreens, the girl we flagged down couldn't get her engine open whatever that's called lol so then a guy gets pulled over right next to us, and the police officer called some of her buddies. So since it's 2 in the morning everyone's bored and we end up w/ about 4 or 5 cop cars with their lights flashing surrounding our car.

One police officer jumped our car, but it died again, so we tried a second time, but left it running longer. That didn't work, so since we were pretty close to Grandma's, the guys pushed the car into a parking lot across the street and Kristen and i got to ride in a police car back to her car, which was at Grandmas. Suffice it to say, I didn't get home til about 3:30 or so in the morning, and didn't get to bed til almost 4. But still, it was an AWESOME adventure and a great story to tell my kids. I mean how many ppl can say they've ridden in the back of the police car, and haven't been in trouble lol Btw, they're REALLY uncomfortable.
