i want to start out this story with the almost end of the story. I SAT IN THE BACK OF A POLICE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, so now that you're sufficiently freaked out and wondering what could my innocent little niece/daughter/sister(insert relation to me here) could possibly have done to end up in the back of a police car, don't worry. I did nothing wrong.
It all started at fhe when the activity planned went bust and about 7 of us decided to go to an outdoor movie theatre up in Ft. Collins to see G.I. Joe and Transformers. Two girls took their own car and the other 5 of us drove up in 2 other cars. The two guys had borrowed their roommates car because it had two 15 inch subwoofers in his car... or something amazing spiffy like amazing subs. anyways we stopped by Grandmas to get chairs and blankets and whatnot to sit on, and we left my friend Kristens car there and all drove up in the subwoofer car. So the movies were really good, but during the second one, the stereo gave out, cuz it was draining the battery. The movie got over at 1:30 and we started driving back to Longmont.
So while we're driving down 287 we get pulled over by a cop because the left brake light was out and so was the lisence plate light. Thankfully we didn't get a ticket since it wasn't their car, but the battery was making bad noises. So we get to about eisenhower and stop for a red light and the car COMPLETELY dies. We tried flagging ppl down to jump the car but no one had jumper cables, and when we borrowed some from walgreens, the girl we flagged down couldn't get her engine open whatever that's called lol so then a guy gets pulled over right next to us, and the police officer called some of her buddies. So since it's 2 in the morning everyone's bored and we end up w/ about 4 or 5 cop cars with their lights flashing surrounding our car.
One police officer jumped our car, but it died again, so we tried a second time, but left it running longer. That didn't work, so since we were pretty close to Grandma's, the guys pushed the car into a parking lot across the street and Kristen and i got to ride in a police car back to her car, which was at Grandmas. Suffice it to say, I didn't get home til about 3:30 or so in the morning, and didn't get to bed til almost 4. But still, it was an AWESOME adventure and a great story to tell my kids. I mean how many ppl can say they've ridden in the back of the police car, and haven't been in trouble lol Btw, they're REALLY uncomfortable.
Ha ha I have.
ReplyDeleteAbout a month ago we took the ferry to Alki beach. There is a free shuttle to take you to the Ferry dock and we missed it and we really wanted to get back to the city for some food. Three of the girls were from Wales and they saw a group of police cars and thought aybe if they talked to the police they would give us a ride to the dock. Me and the other American were like "yeah right" but go ahead a try. So about 15 minutes later the police were ready to take us to the dock. Us Americans had to eat our words. All in all yes we rode in the back of the cop car and yes they are the most uncomfortable.
