I LOVE YOUTUBE

Yes, it's true. I'm announcing our engagement tomorrow, and expect to be very happy in the future. At least as happy as I can when I'm married to an online video site... But how could I not be in love, when it offers me videos like this..

or this...

Or this...
Oh youtube........ thy beauty is comparable to a midsummer's night dream.. or the icing on a really fancy cupcake.

Living in the present is hard when the future is so exciting

Today is a philosophical day... ish. I'm enjoying life as it is right now, but I'm so excited for what's going to happen, all my plans, I  can't wait. I'm excited for summer, I'll be working, and hopefully dancing on Fridays. Me, being the folk dance nerd that I am, looked up places near where i live where I can folk dance this summer.  And i found one 20 minutes from where I live. 5 dollars a week for 5 hours of dancing on Fridays? I say worth it. Especially since it'll help me not forget everything I've learned, and I LOVE IT!!!! Plus, great exercise. And I always need exercise.

I'm also excited for all my dance classes this semester. Before you judge, it keeps me in shape, and college is all about having fun. Plus, they're the only thing keeping me sane!! I'm taking World Dance 370, Chinese Dance, Beginning Clogging, and Folk Dance Team Class. I'm PSYCHED. Clogging is way hard, but tons of fun. I just need to find clogging shoes.. :P My life is crazy, but I love it.

I'm also excited for September. It'll be a new year, and hopefully I'll know what I'm doing by then, and what's going on, when I'm going to Jerusalem, (because I am going), and i'll be LIVING OFF CAMPUS. I'm super psyched. We're figuring out housing here in the next couple of weeks and I'm excited. We know what we're doing this time, and I can't wait. I've loved Wyview, but I'm done with it haha.

So, two posts in two weeks, we'll see if i can keep it up. =)

2011

Wow, it's a new year. And with a new year come new changers, new years resolutions, etc. So what are my big changes for the new year? Well first of all, 2011 brings a new career/school plan. Forget political science and history teaching... i'm going to be.. drumroll.. a PHARMACIST!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes. I know, crazy right? Me, the hater of all things science and math, who was convinced she would put all that behind her after finishing 3 years of biology in high school is going back. Ok, obviously I don't hate it if I'm making it my career, but I wouldn't be telling the truth if I didn't say that job and financial security didn't have anything to do with it. It does have a lot to do with it, but i wouldn't have changed if that was the only reason. I thought, prayed, and pondered long and hard on this decision, and finally felt it really was the right thing for me to do. Whatever ends up happening to me in life, marriage, not marriage... ok, that's all I could think of, I can always be able to work as a pharmacist anywhere, and even from home, so it's like the perfect career depending on whatever my circumstances allow. So I'm excited. Plus, I'll finally know what kind of medications to take, and when, and how is that not helpful? So, SURPRISE!!!!! That's my big news.
Also, I will turn into a gorgeous Asian woman.
My resolution for this year, is to update my blog every week. So, be prepared, we'll see how I do. I like to wait for pictures, but I'm going to try and blog regardless of that. As for any other resolutions? I haven't decided. But, with your help and encouragement, I will post every week!!! So here's to week one!

  • goofy cousins
  • trips to Salt Lake
  • Top Gear
  • doing donuts...
  • realizing how much I LOVE my copy of the scriptures... (and how much i'm gonna cry if i don't find them)

Well, as you can see, the good things outweigh the bad things.. It's just easier to remember the frustrating things sometimes.. which is dumb. So here's a link to an awesome youtube video  featuring the King Singers, MOTAB, and dancers. :3 It makes everything right again :)

So i don't know if you heard but....

I MADE THE BYU FOLK DANCE TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm pretty freaking excited if you couldn't tell.... ;)

So, here's the whole story. haha.. I tried out on Wednesday night. Tryouts started at 6:30 and I didn't get home till like.. 10:30. I was one of the last girls to get called back during the generic try outs. Then we went and learned some hard dances, and finally.. after like 2-3 hours of dancing, they finally finished announcing all the teams. I'm on one of the lowest teams, but it's still WAY EXCITING!!!! I'm going to be in the homecoming parade and in Christmas Around the World. We get to wear costumes for the second one!! :D Plus my teacher/coach said that we might be getting to do an INDIAN DANCE for the Christmas concert which would be BEYOND EXCITING!!! indian is probably one of my favorite styles :) So.. that's what happened to me this week :)
