Prom No. 1

Soooo... i went to Prom on Saturday and it was so much fun!!!! and SOOOO pretty. It wasn't Niwot's or MY prom, it was Skyline's Prom. and noo.. i didn't go with anyone, just friends. But I still had an AMAZING time.. and next week, i'll have pictures from Niwot's prom. So us girls met at 4 to get our hair, makeup and nails done at my friend Kayla's house. Then the two guys arrived (haha) and we took pictures and then had GOOD TIMES for dinner lol. It was great fun. The dance was at the Chateaux at Fox Meadows and it was FREEZING outside, cuz it had been raining and snowing all day. Inside was pretty warm though. :) We went to after Prom at the school afterwards where we messed around and played some games. like the bouncy castle race down near the bottom. It was kinda boring though, so we went to my friend Nathan's and hung out till curfew. :) It was totally AWESOME and i can't wait for Saturday.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

So Mason and I had a DANCE PARTY!!! while i was cleaning the kitchen. Soo of course we needed pictures. Which meant it just turned into lots of taking silly silly photos of Mason and Grant and I. There's a video of Mason too, cuz he didn't realize i was taking it. He kept saying, no pictures, no movie... But how could i resist that cute cute face???Also.. my mom was driving to cub scouts and saw this hilarious sign. But since i was the one who actually drove out and took the picture in the pouring rain...I'm posting it lol... be prepared for LAUGHTER!!!

BLOOD!!!

So i had to get my blood drawn... and i was like great.. this is gonna suck. I'm dehydrated, and even if i drink TWO gallons of water the day before, it won't matter, and i'll still be dehydrated. So we go in.. it's a huge ordeal, cuz the first place we went to wouldn't do it, and then we had to go to the hospital. And register... So by the time we actually had to get our blood drawn, we were all bored and just wanted to get it over with. So Mason and Grant wanted to go first, and I let them, which was a bad idea. I should've gone first... So i end up going in 4th, after Camille. I get in, the flobotomist feels one arm... then the other.. then back to the first.. and the other one again. And she sticks the needle in. Of course, it doesn't make it to the vein, so she's digging around in my interstitial fluid, and it KEEPS hurting. See, normally, they stick you once, it hurts, and then it stops hurting. But NOT this time.. SO that didn't get any blood, so back to the other arm. No blood. By this time, there are 2-3 flobotomists in there all staring and talking to and about me. Now the second one tries. But now they go for my hand. This yields how much? ONE VIAL OF BLOOD. I needed 5. WOOT! 1 down, 4 to GO! By this time, Mom and Trevor had finished, everyone was waiting for me, Grant and Mason had run back to see me cuz they were wondering.. What's taking so dang long?? Then, we wait around for the 3rd flobotomist to stick me. She feels around, pokes me, and slowly gets all the rest of the blood. It took FOREVER!!! i had three bandages, and a couple pretty bruises :P Pretty much one of the worst blood drawing experiences ever. But hey, at least I didn't almost faint this time. I think it was because I was mostly laying down instead of sitting.. but who knows? My veins kinda suck... if you didn't notice hahaha

Economics..

So i know most of you are all talked out after General Conference... but i just heard this really good speech that I had to listen to for my economics class. It really explains why Capitalism works for the West, but not anywhere else. It has some very interesting ideas, plus the speaker, Hernando de Soto has a really good sense of humour. Here's the link http://www.ccee.net/desoto_speech.htm but I would suggest listening to it when you have a lot of free time.. or are really bored cuz it's fairly long, and you really have to listen and pay attention to it, it's not really a multi-tasking lecture lol But i quite recommend it as it's very good.

Spring Break

So spring break is over now, and even though we didn't go anywhere and it was FREEZING cold all week, I was still a really nice relaxing break from school. I went swimming, partied, read, and watched too much tv. I did watch a really good mini-series called Wives and Daughters though. (HA mom! I posted first :P) It's set near the Jane Austen period, Regency time, but different style of dress, and they actually waltz, instead of just quadrilles and country dances. It's very good, British, and some good humour mixed in with all the romance and intrigue. I really enjoyed it. BTW, less than 50 days til I graduate!!!!!!!!!!

:DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

So, I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!! altho this actually happened in february, i didn't think about putting it on my blog... oops. i just got my rooming house stamp, and it's on April 24th at 3:00 and the earliest you can start is april 20th, so i'm thinking not too shabby... especially since it was a frustrating HOUR AND A HALF to try and get logged on. but BYU reset my time stamp so i'm not really complaining.. :P I pretty much CAN'T wait til august, but unfortunately i don't get to have senioritis until May 12th when i'm done with all my IB exams.. and therefore it's completely pointless... But that doesn't mean i can't join byu freshman 09 groups on facebook.. ahh that lovely time waster.
