Non-Disney Movies

So, I have this issue with people thinking that non-Disney movies were created by Disney. So, let me educate you on this very important subject. We'll start with the one least mixed up and work our way up to the one most commonly thought to be Disney.

4.Quest for Camelot. Although this one doesn't get mistaken a lot, I have heard it happen. That's why it's in last place. Its a good movie though. I suggest you watch it. The music is AMAZING. It was made by Warner Brothers. If you can't tell by the large Bugs Bunny on the front.

3. The Swan Princess. It was NOT made by Disney and made by a company called Nest and New Line Cinema. Both not Disney. There is no Princess Odette walking around Disneyland.

2. Thumbelina. If you can't tell by the logo in the upper left hand corner, this movie was made by 20th century Fox. They get so gypped by Disney. It is an amazing movie though.
1. Anastasia. This is the most mistaken Disney movie, EVER. Totally ridiculous. There are no Anastasia rides at Disneyland, Anastasia doesn't walk around Disneyland. You cannot buy Anastasia paraphernalia at the Disney store. None of the Anastasia songs are on Disney's greatest hits CDs. Just saying.

Stress is EXPLODING out of my eyeballs.

 (property of google image search)
Why is my life so stressful you ask? Well, I'm a sophomore at BYU. I'm taking chemistry, physics and math. I haven't taken any chemistry or physics classes since sophomore year of HIGH SCHOOL. That is FOUR years ago. Basically, i overschedule myself. I am also on a folk dance team, it's AMAZING!!! But, time consuming. Plus, I'm in Laugh out Loud, the Improv comedy group on campus. I also am involved in church. And my friends.
Ergo, life is stress. So I take the little things every day that make me happy, and focus on them, instead of the stress exploding out of my eyeballs.

Things like:
-Jimmering my physics test. (95% OHBABY!!)
-wearing Mexican skirts to practice our Mexican dance in. (have i ever mentioned, i REALLY REALLY want a mexican dress? and Ukrainian red boots)

-learning Israeli dance
-listening to happy music, like this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAxlIbUTlZo
-seeing my friends GORGEOUS engagement pictures
-88cent crunchwrap supremes
-learning Russian. Malchick (not correct spelling) means little boy. does this remind me of my chick bad? possibly.
-one of my best friends going to Kyiv UKRAINE on his mission. happiness. (also, why i'm learning russian)
-doing the best i've basically ever done on my Chinese dance test. and my chinese dance? It's hard.

happy single awareness day!!

Well, i've already missed one week for posting, but I did a couple extra in January.. so that makes up for it right?
Basically my life is ridiculously busy, and now i'm sick.. which completely sucks, especially when you have to take tests. Thankfully I have wonderful roommates and friends who love and take care of me.
For SAD, I am celebrating my singleness and going on a date with my roommate and one of my good friends tonight. I'm super excited. I have no idea what we're going to do,but I know it includes yummy food and that's all that matters. :)
So even though I don't have a boy, I am not sad, but excited for all of my engaged friends and super happy for them. So instead of Single-awareness day. I think it should be Single Celebration Day. Unfortunately SCD is really hard to say. But, if i had to pronounce it, it would sound something like Sid. Since Sid is the epitome of singleness, at least in the first 2 movies, i thought it was appropriate. So for those that are single like me, embrace it, and your inner SCD (SID).

So i've been thinking

about making this blog public.. I mean when I started it, I didn't want people reading it unless I knew them, but now I don't really care, and its easier for people to catch up on my life etc, especially if they aren't invited so, comments? I think I'm gonna do it, I just haven't fully decided yet.. :)

Say what?

I'm 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yah, that's right. 20. 2-0. I'm no longer a teenager. It's kinda crazy. I have had probably one of the most stressful birthday weeks of my life, but i survived, and had a wonderful awesome party celebration on Saturday to make up for it. :) My roommates have been keeping my birthday celebration under very tight wraps, so i had no idea what was going to happen when i woke up on Saturday. I ended up going on a huge scavenger hunt all over Provo, and getting stuff along the way, like homemade egg rolls, pizza for my party, and one of my presents. I had to sing I'm a little tea pot at the pizza place and run through an obstacle course to get one of my presents. This present was not something I would've expected them to get for me, and was not really my style per se.. haha, but it was still nice of them, i was just really confused. Then I was taken back to my friends apartment where they had clothes for me to wear, a fancy dress and heels.
I came upstairs with my eyes closed, and when I opened them, everyone was wearing masks, because my roommates had planned a masquerade! They got me the COOLEST prettiest mask to wear, and then gave me my real presents lol.. I got what I really wanted which was a men's plaid flannel shirt, and let me tell you, it is EXTREMELY comfy.. idk if i'm ever gonna take it off I love it so much. They also got me some cologne, because one of our friends wears this cologne that smells SO GOOD!! I'm always smelling him, kinda creepily, so they decided to get me my own bottle so I can smell it whenever I want.. and potentially give it to my future husband :)
So after the party, we drove up to Salt Lake City where we saw one of our friends perform with the BYU ballroom dance company. It was a lot of fun and we totally embarrassed him hardcore by cheering for him. It was pretty awesome. Susan and I came home and we ended up watching a pretty ridiculous Bollywood movie. All in all, i had a great day, and I LOVE MY ROOMMATES and FRIENDS!!!

Christmas.. in January!!

So this is gonna be a throwback post for a post I should've done in December at Christmastime, but was too busy to actually write. One of my favorite parts about being home in general is my mom's camera. It is truly a beautiful piece of equipment. I love that little bugger. I can't wait until I have my VERY OWN beautiful camera to take pictures ALL THE TIME!!! because i LOVE taking pictures. It's so much fun, especially if your camera is nice enough that all of your pictures look wondrous.. It's such a  self-esteem booster. So, these are some of the pictures that I took over Christmas break and edited to make them even cooler.. Enjoy this little slice of Christmas a month late..

I really like ornament reflection pictures.. k? I just think they're AWESOME!!!

Idk if you could tell, but I LOVE bokeh pictures.. which is all the out of focus lights, in the background or foreground depending on the picture. I think they're really cool, and it was fun to take some of my own, because I've never really taken them before. At least not on purpose lol It's so fun and cool to take seemingly simple things and transform them into interesting and pretty pictures.
